Even with a properly installed refrigerated air dryer located at or near the air compressor site, the fact that your plumbing is exposed to the changes in temperature will allow moisture to reappear along this route. Even worse is when the plumbing is allowed to sag or have low spots to drop around a structure or object. This low spot will, over time fill with moisture, and perhaps compressor oils, that at some point will move down stream into your pneumatic tool, or spray paint application, all at one time. The best advice to make sure this does not happen is to install a properly sized compressed air filter at the point of use.

This well maintained Champion Simplex Verticle Air Compressor was used at a manufacturing building which is climate controlled and pulled inside air through the filters. The company which it was used in was a very sterile environment. As you can see its in LIKE NEW condition.

Equipment included on the Champion simplex verticle air compressor: belt guard, air gauge, service valve, pressure switch, safety valve, bucket high tank drain, magnetic starter which provides thermal overload protection for the motor, air cooled after cooler which removes 65% moisture from the compressed air, automatic tank drain which is adjustable, oil monitor which will shut down the Champion simplex verticle air compressor when oil level is below safe operating level, vibration pads which provides no other mounting requirements.
